Announcement: Uplift in Arts Council England Funding for DaDa - Disability and Deaf Arts

DaDa - Disability and Deaf Arts is delighted that Arts Council England has made us part of its National Portfolio of funded organisations for the next few years. We have also been awarded an overall uplift of 6.8%. This support will allow us to reach more people and present more high quality work that celebrates talent and excellence in disability and deaf arts.

The Arts Council England report stated: ‘DaDa's application provided evidence of a highly distinctive artistic approach to diversity through delivery of an innovative programme with disabled artists.'

DaDa's plans for the next three years includes DaDaFest International 2012 including high-profile collaborations and international artists, further work with our young people, development of our online offer and continuation of successful events such as Young DaDaFest and the DaDa Awards.

Ruth Gould, CEO, DaDa -Disability and Deaf Arts said: ‘It's really important that we, as a disability-led arts organisation, have been included in the National Portfolio. The organisation has grown so much since it was founded in 1984, and we are pleased that Arts Council England is supporting us in our ambitions for the next three years.'

Thanks also to Liverpool City Council and our other partners for their continued support. We realise that Arts Council England had difficult decisions to make and not everyone has been successful. We will continue to collaborate with groups and organisations in creating great art for everyone.
