Helen East
Helen East is a writer and a DaDaFest Award nominee for 2009. She also took part in the DaDa-Disability & Deaf Arts writing project 'Off the Page'. Her forthcoming play 'Seconds Out' (conceived on the Off the Page Writers Residency in 2004) will be performed in Liverpool as part of the 'Write Now' festival. A scene from the play was first staged at Unity Theatre in Liverpool. 'Seconds Out' is currently being performed at Taurus Bar, Canal Street, Manchester - 3/4/5/6th Feb and is completely sold out.
It is then on in Liverpool at the Actors Centre on Seel Street from 26th March to 3rd April.

'Seconds Out' is a drama set in the North West and in real time.....Al's over the moon that his protege Danny is going to the Commonwealth Games until Danny tells him he doesn't want to go. Who will win the battle of wills? How far would you go for someone you love?
