Look
As part of DaDaFest International 2010, DaDa - Disability and Deaf Arts worked in partnership with National Museums Liverpool and FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) to run a one day photography workshop. Images from the workshop were used in an exhibition at the World Museum Liverpool.
Each of the works presented in the exhibition were created by Disabled/Deaf young people, aged 13-19 years, from the Liverpool City Region; in response to the exhibition theme of ‘Look'.
All of the artists selected for the exhibition were nominated for the Young DaDaFest - Visual Arts Award 2010, the winner of the award was Jack Spencer.
We at DaDa feel that this exhibition once again illustrates the wealth of creative talent that exists in the region and offers a tantalising insight into the next generation of Disabled/Deaf artists.
The photographs from the exhibition are currently on display at FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) as part of the Knowledge Lives Everywhere exhibition until 12th June 2011.
The winning photograph.
